In Scrum, a person who wears many hats, including coach, facilitator, mentor, and problem solver, when working with a Scrum Team. The Scrum Master (SM) seeks to establish psychological safety, ensuring that team members are collaborating effectively, helping them deliver business value at a sustainable pace, while also creating space for team members to recognize and celebrate successes. The SM also acts as a change agent at the team level and beyond, seeking to identify areas of potential improvement and launching experiments to help the team and the organization continuously improve.
