Non-Functional Requirement
Addresses characteristics of a product that do not in and of themselves deliver direct user value, such as load handling, performance, browser compatibility, or mobile-friendly design. It is common for a Definition of Done to address various NFRs, and as such, NFRs can be seen as guardrails for the system being built, in terms of how the system behaves and performs. It is also common to refer to NFRs as "-ilities," for example, scalability, security, usability.
